The History of Carriages

Tony Killeen, founder and entrepreneur, envisioned a place where fine dining and exceptional wine could be shared with the county. From this passion, Carriages was born.

Inspired by Tony’s enthusiasm for trains and the restaurant’s unique setting overlooking the old Whitestone railway station, Carriages brings a touch of elegance to Herefordshire’s rich ‘field-to-fork’ culture. Our team takes pride in crafting high-quality dishes using the finest locally sourced, in-season ingredients—celebrating the best of what the region has to offer while supporting local producers.

Nestled within the impressive allpay Ltd campus at Whitestone Business Park, Carriages offers a dining experience like no other. From the floor-to-ceiling windows of our top-floor restaurant, you can take in stunning views of rolling hills, enjoy alfresco dining on the spacious balcony, or explore the beautifully landscaped grounds surrounding the Four Seasons lake—a hidden oasis that transforms into a magical maze of illuminated gardens by night.

A unique setting, exquisite food, and an unforgettable experience—it’s too good not to share.

Have you discovered Tony’s latest venture? The Sidings at Carriages builds on his passion for trains and quality food, expanding it into two beautifully converted train carriages, now home to a charming café and farm shop.
